JOHOR BARU: The mother of missing five-year-old Nurul Nadirah (pic) had sent her daughter out to buy groceries at a nearby flat because she feels the residential area is safe and many of her relatives stay there as well.

“I have been allowing Dirang (Nurul Nadirah's pet name) to go out alone since she was three. I know that it is not dangerous. Many others at the flats allow their children to roam the area unattended,” said Roselyn Alan, 26.
She added that many Sabahans stayed at the flats, including her relatives.
“Even the sundry shop which Dirang visited the day she went missing is managed by my relative,” she said at the Seri Delima flats here.
Roselyn said some people had scolded her after Nurul Nadirah disappeared.
She understands why some people are angry, but Roselyn insisted she would never have allowed her daughter to go out alone if her safety had been in question.
Nurul Nadirah went missing on March 1. Police later recovered her slippers and a plastic bag containing items she had bought at the sundry shop at an oil palm plantation located just behind the flats.
State Welfare Department director Khatijah Abdullah said the parents of Nurul Nadirah could be charged under Section 31 of the Child Act 2001

Ya Allah yg maha adil, berikan keadilan utk anak kecil ini, semoga pelaku jenayah ini, tersiksa hingga ke akhir hayatnya.....amin.
